All degree-seeking Northwestern students must have comprehensive health insurance. To this end, most are defaulted each year into the Northwestern University Student Health Insurance Plan (NU-SHIP).

Short Term Health Insurance
Enroll at any time!
You can get immediate coverage with Short Term Health Insurance, including many of the same benefits as an ACA compliant plan for a fraction of the cost. Because Short Term Health Insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions, it doesn’t meet Northwestern University’s requirement for comparable coverage, but may be a great option during a time of transition.
